  • Fishing gear may also be covered under the “all risks” portion of the policy as specified items.


Full compliance with the legal requirements of owning and operating a pleasure-craft is vital to the validity of this section of the policy i.e.

  • Skippers Licence

  • Boyancy Certificate

  • Certificate of Fitness

Pleasure Crafts

  • This is a section which covers motorboats, yachts / sailing boats, ski boats and jet-skis. Your pleasure-craft consists of the motor/s and hull (length not exceeding 6 (six) meters), superstructure, fittings, machinery, gears and all original standard equipment such as would normally be sold as one unit.  Cover is limited to social and pleasure purposes only and warranted that the vessel is maintained at all times.  The sum insured for pleasure craft type items is based on the current market value of the item inclusive of VAT.

  • You may also insure the trailers; however this would usually be insured under the motor vehicle section of the policy.
