-
A motorcycle, including three-wheeled, scooter or quad-bike;
-

-
Trailers may also be covered by this section.
The two main areas that are covered under the policy are:
-
Physical loss or damage to your vehicle as a result of a specific incident.
-
Damage to third party vehicles and property.
Full compliance with the legal requirements of owning and driving a motor vehicle is vital to the validity of any motor insurance policy i.e.
-
The driver must be appropriately licensed to operate the vehicle.
-
The vehicle must be roadworthy (e.g. smooth tires render a vehicle unroadworthy.)
-
You must be the registered owner of the vehicle (this ensures that you have an insurable interest.)
-
The exact use to which the vehicle is engaged must be fully disclosed to the insurer.
Injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident in South Africa are claimable from the Road Accident Fund.
